Worship at St. Peter's Episcopal Church
Worship is the centerpiece of life at St. Peter’s. There are two opportunities to worship on Sunday, and an additional service on Wednesday. The Eucharist is celebrated at all three services, with a sermon at each service.

Sunday 8:00 am
The traditional service of Rite I is celebrated at the 8:00 am. There is no music at this service, and it lasts about an hour. Although the congregation is smaller than the later service, there is a core of faithful attendees who appreciate the quiet, contemplative worship and also enjoy the coffee hour fellowship - some joining together to go out for breakfast after the service.

Sunday 10:00 am
The 10:00 am service is a choral Eucharist using Rite II and featuring choir and organ. The Children’s Choir is included at least once each month. Our parish has several talented musicians, both vocal and instrumental, who provide an additional dimension to our worship. The music is mostly traditional with hymns from the 1982 Hymnal. However, occasionally more contemporary music is incorporated and is accompanied by guitar, piano and other instruments. Children come in from their Sunday school classes to join in communion.

Wednesday 10:00 am
The Wednesday Eucharist follows Rite I and includes an opportunity for anointing and laying-on-of-hands for healing.

Special Days and Pastoral Offices
In addition to the regularly scheduled weekly services, there are the special days such as Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas, plus occasional saints’ days that are observed. In addition, there are the pastoral services such as marriages, baptisms, confirmations, and funerals.

Annual Eucharist in the Park
Once a year, in the warmer days of summer, the Parish has the Sunday Eucharist in a local park. The informal setting, guitar music, and colorful streamers provide a fun and festal time of corporate worship enjoyed by young and old alike. St. Peter’s is blessed to have men who are BBQ masters, and after the service we feast!
